Winter Hike. Hartz Peak. Tasmania
View from Hartz Peak thru to the mouth of the Derwent River. Southern Tasmania.
Looks beautiful with the mist.
It was amazing. Cold tho.
Looking forward to EBC and Annapurna. 7 weeks to go!!
Exciting. Have you heard back from Doma?
I have heard back. She was very helpful. All sorted. I will see her on arrival Flights up the mountain organised. Lots of helpful advice. Cant wait to leave!
Did she organise Kathmandu accommodation for you?
No. Can you recommend anywhere?
It’s a bit hard to tell from trip adviser comments. Ill be in Kathmandu for at least one week out of the 8 weeks Im in Nepal.
I just did a post for you. The first time we went we stayed at Hotel Access. Very central and good staff. Great breakfast outside. The second time on way back we stayed at a small boutique hotel called the Ambassador Garden Hotel. It was nice to have a bit of luxury after the trek. You can just see it in the top photo on my blog. The guy standing in the strip of light is like the doorman, There’s is a little garden. There is an ATM just there too, it is right next door to Hotel Access. Neither were affected by the quake.
This is great. Thank you very much.
Thank you. I may have some more question so really appreciate that. Thanks for the addition to you blog! Great pics.
Lovely photo, Mark. Is it the Organ Pipes Track? Can I please share it on my FB page Tasmania Stories?
You are most welcome to share the photo.
Yes. It is the organ pipe track.
