Remote beach on the South Coast Track, Tasmania. Accessed by a charter flight into Malaleuca airstrip on Macquarie Harbour. A magnificent 5-7 day hike back out to Cockle Creek, to the most southerly road in Australia. Lots of fresh drinking water along the way – creeks and streams running onto the beach. One of Australia’s icon hikes. Great campsites, a wide variety of scenery and very few other hikers.

I am an experienced trekker and hiker. I enjoy taking photographs and travelling. I prefer wilderness and remote places. Travel often as much as I can. Prefer off-season as less people around. Winter is always a great time.
Happy to share local knowledge about the beautiful island of Tasmania.
I support humanitarian and Human Rights causes and spend much of my time working pro-bono for and in developing countries.

You must! It is awesome. I hike every weekend and longer hikes when I can. I am in love with this small wild island at the end of the world.

I very much enjoyed this. Thank you. It reminds me of a beach near Auckland. As deserted as this.. Murawai Beach
