A perfect Autumn day…

Clear blue skies here in spring, the air on the Indian Ocean is so pure.  Not many places left on earth that have such pristine skies. At this time of year, there remain some small clusters of clouds that will stay until finally burnt off by summers arrival.  Most summers there are no clouds for months on end.  The strong blue skies thin out to a lesser blue. A blue that is hot and vapid.  Punishing in their intensity.  The dried grass crackles underfoot.  Insects move slowly, birds only appear on the edges of the days. The vegetation struggles to maintain its life.  The seasons here are mostly two.  Cool damp winters, hot dry scorching summers…

I am an experienced trekker and hiker. I enjoy taking photographs and travelling. I prefer wilderness and remote places. Travel often as much as I can. Prefer off-season as less people around. Winter is always a great time. Happy to share local knowledge about the beautiful island of Tasmania. I support humanitarian and Human Rights causes and spend much of my time working pro-bono for and in developing countries.
